QLEDCures develops quantum dot (QD) materials and devices spanning the visible to infrared to enable next-generation light-based systems. Originating in flexible QLED platforms for light-based medical treatments, our work replaces bulky, expensive lasers and LEDs with compact, spectrally precise, and form-factor-agnostic photonic devices. By leveraging the unique properties of quantum dots—bandgap tunability, narrowband emission, and compatibility with scalable fabrication—QLEDCures extends these technologies beyond medicine to critical defense-relevant photonic applications, using quantum dots as a unifying materials platform to deliver high-performance, adaptable solutions across commercial and national-security domains.
